The Last Post

This is the last post on this blog. I have spent over 5 years looking into what has become a "trendy" spiritual path for the unenlightened and curious. Although this is the "last post", I have been updating and adding stuff from time to time. Latest update April 20th 2025 - Dermot Murray has become tired of this futile life and has decided to leave this sick, perverted, cruel human world for ever.. 

As I have said elsewhere - no urban Westerner is ever going to become a Shaman (unless you get as lucky as Carlos Castaneda). Despite many "experts" criticism of Castaneda, I cannot recommend his books enough - to me, they are essential reading. Don Juan Matus, Castanedas' mentor, was a shaman in the Toltec tradition. These days this tradition is continued by don Miguel Ruiz, don Jose Ruiz and don Miguel Ruiz jnr and can be learned online on their Four Agreements website. These guys won't turn you into a magical shaman or sorcerer but they can help you to become happier and healthier and more aware of your true Self. The Toltec tradition is what I like to think of as "practical" shamanic work as opposed to the "imaginary" shamanic work of the Core Shamanism teachers. After much study and practice of the various types of "shamanism" - the Toltec teachings stand head and shoulders above anything else being offered to non indigenous "Westerners" in 2025. (In my opinion).

The past 5 years of exploration have changed my view on what to expect when one begins to delve into the subject of "shamanism". I have found that certain people have lied about their qualifications and abilities regarding the Shamanic Path in order to relieve gullible folks of their hard earned cash. I know everybody has to earn a living in this crazy materialistic world we live in but I believe that REAL spiritual teachings should be given freely if the student is sincere - as with Castaneda and Don Juan Matus. Of course people have to cover expenses and survive but there seems to be a lot of greedy wannabe "shamans" on the internet - just saying. Plus, for most of us, finding a genuine shaman is just about impossible, so we have to rely on those who are advertising their services. This normally means some kind of financial exchange.

In my opinion Core Shamanism - the most popular form at time of writing and the one I have studied the most - is a bit of a cop out. It encourages people into deluding themselves into thinking they are something they are not. Everything about Core Shamanism is a mind game. Whatever happens on your shamanic journey YOU are creating it. It takes away personal sovereignty and gives the power to a Power Animal or other Spirit helpers and guides. While this may be exciting and entertaining - it is not enlightening. Don't get me wrong, I still believe that Animism is the best form of "religion" (if you feel the need for a religion) and that Shamanism is the most valid and powerful spiritual path you can take - it's just that genuine teachers are as rare as honest politicians.

One of my old teachers, the 20th century Buddha, Osho, always maintained that in order to awaken to full enlightenment, one had to achieve a state of "No Mind". Your ego has to die for the real you to awaken to the true nature of life, reality and the Universe. 

Core Shamanism locks people into elaborate mind games which keep you in the exciting, entertaining "Matrix" of Mind. As don Juan said to young Carlos, when he accepted him as an apprentice, "If you want to become a Man of Knowledge, the first thing you must do is learn to stop the internal dialogue." You can now learn the practical Toltec shamanic tradition online (and in the flesh) through the books by genuine lineage holders - don Miguel Ruiz with his sons and apprentices. Don Miguel describes the human "mind" as a parasite that has taken control of the way we behave. What we think with our mind is NOT always the truth. All humans live in a personal world that they have created with their mind - your world is not the same as my world! All humans go through a process of "domestication", in other words, we are trained (like a pet dog) to behave in ways that are acceptable to what we call "society". We are NOT free and natural as we were born to be - we have been taken over by the mind parasite. Think about that for a minute. Who or what are you, really? 

I also noticed that all the internet "shamanic" teachers that I know of (in the UK) except one (Sarita Sol) fell for the global plandemic hoax of 2020. Thereby proving to all those who were awake that they themselves were a very long way from enlightenment. Take a look at Saritas playlists of meditations on YouTube - these are FREE guided meditations that will lead you to Self Mastery. Sarita does use the "mind" in these shamanic meditations but in a very different way to Core Shamanism. This is a Heart centred, multi dimensional form of shamanic practice that uses breathwork, imagination and visualisation to help you realise who you REALLY are and reclaim your sovereignty. 

To be fair to the shamanic teachers, all the worlds religious leaders fell for it as well though I believe the Islamic world was a lot more sceptical than the Christian, Buddhist, Hindu and Jewish peoples - make of that what you will. Did you notice that the so called "Islamic Terrorist" attacks stopped suddenly during the "Covid" era? I guess the real culprits for these false flag bombings i.e the CIA, Mossad, MI5 and their "deep state" bosses thought the whole Plandemic and Lockdown show would get the desired result of a terrified global community that would be easy to control and to accept (even beg for) experimental, DNA altering drugs and AI surveillance on their "smart" phones. Well it did work to a large extent - proving them right. The vast majority of humans will believe anything they are told to believe by the television news.

One thing they didn't reckon on though, was the fact that the fake plandemic actually woke up a lot of people (but, ironically, not "woke" people) who had been half asleep to the fact that the politicians and "scientists" (government employees) and doctors (government employees) were lying to them - Big Time!

One man has stood out from from herd as a beacon of truth through all the bullshit from the powers that be, right from the beginning. Right from 1990 in fact. He has been exposing the criminal politicians and their psychopathic masters in the shadows for more than 3 decades. Like me, he was 72 in 2024. I am of course talking about the man who has been deplatformed from YouTube (Google) and Facebook (CIA) and banned from entering at least 29 countries in 2023 - yes, it's that "crazy" conspiracy theorist and rabble rouser David Icke. I will always lean towards believing David rather than the Gates funded mainstream media because, if you take the trouble to listen to him or read his books, you will find that he backs up everything he says with provable historic and scientific facts (unlike mainstream media). I recommend everybody read his books, especially those written since 2000. David was the man responsible for me taking the "red pill" - to use "The Matrix" terminology, he is not just a "conspiracy theorist", he is a deeply shamanic, spiritual (not religious) enlightened being. If I have whetted your appetite for TRUTH and you would like more information on what the CIA have dubbed "conspiracy theories" (ie revealing their lies) - there is a great site called The Freedom Articles run by a guy called Makia Freeman. I believe that too much exposure to the reality that taking the "red pill" reveals can lead to "Black Pill" sickness. This is when the horror that is revealed to you makes you depressed or paranoid and you begin to feel that life is hopeless and meaningless. If this happens, you need to balance and heal your soul with true spiritual work, i.e. Osho, Sarita Sol and The Four Agreements and the books of don Miguel Ruiz. There is also a mine of information on the Ickonic alternative media platform which I recommend wholeheartedly. 

Another "enlightened" spiritual teacher who wasn't fooled by the fake plandemic and the fake non-vaccines is a man who calls himself "Open" (used to be known as Chris Bourne). The Openhand Academy run by Open and others is based in Glastonbury UK but runs retreats and courses all over the world (and online). This is a fusion of Shamanism, Osho style Dynamic Meditations, Kriya Yoga and 5D philosophy. This is very different from any other mainstream spiritual teaching that I have come across but very interesting (to me anyway). Probably considered completely insane by most of humanity but what do they know? Worth a look. Here is the OpenhandTV YouTube channel and Facebook page

And as for my spiritual quest? Well, Openhand , Sarita Sol , David Icke and don Miguel Ruiz are my main sources of knowledge and inspiration relating to Shamanism and spiritual growth in general, while sitting in silence, doing breathwork (Ryan Bean on Insight Timer is a great teacher) and trying to live by the Four Agreements (The Toltec Tradition) is my main practice.
